Festival Weekends

Festival Weekends are what most riders look forward to each season.  There is racing of course, but also time spent hanging with friends, camping, pre-riding the race course, games, and all sorts of fun activities!  Below you will find information for each race, links to register for camping and links to register your riders for Festival Weekends.  

Trek Festival - October 17 to October 19

Riders must be registered for each Festival Weekend they are attending - whether they are racing or just pre-riding the course.  If you purchased a season pass, you are already registered.  If you did not purchase a season pass, use the link at left to register your rider. Registration deadline for riders at Trek Red Barn State Championship is midnight Tuesday, October 14th.  

If you'd like to camp at this Festival, please click the link to the left.  You can camp with our team either Friday night, Saturday night, or both!  Camping is in a large field that is designated for our team.  Amenities are limited.  Please be prepared to bring all of your own food and water. There are no showers, however porta-potties are available. Deadline to register for camping at the Red Barn State Championship at Trek is midnight, Wednesday, October 8th.

DeForest MTB Trek - Red Barn State Championship Schedule:

Team Pitzone (our team gathering area) will be in our Team camping area at Trek

​Saturday:​

  • 10:15 - All riders meet at our PitZone and prepare for the team pre-ride.  Riders get race plates, Festival Plate Sticker (if needed), ABCDE bike check, fill water, etc.

  • 12:00 - GRiT (Girls Riding Together) members meet at our PitZone and prepare for the GRiT pre-ride.  Riders get race plates, Festival Plate Sticker (if needed), ABCDE bike check, fill water, etc.  GRiT riders head over to the GRiT tent at 12:15 and head onto the course at 12:30.  

 

Sunday:

  • Check the race schedule (different than other races) for your rider's staging time. Arrive at the our PitZone at least 30 minutes before your rider's scheduled staging time.  Help your rider prepare for warm-ups by getting their race plate on, checking for the Festival Plate Sticker, ABCDE bike check, filling water bottles, and getting nutrition if needed.  

Minooka Mania Festival - September 12 to September 14

Riders must be registered for each Festival Weekend they are attending - whether they are racing or just pre-riding the course.  If you purchased a season pass, you are already registered.  If you did not purchase a season pass, use the link at left to register your rider. Registration deadline for Minooka riders is Midnight, Tuesday, September 9th.  

If you'd like to camp at this Festival, please click the link to the right.  Camping Registration for Minooka is done through the Waukesha County Parks Department.  The link on the left will take you to the registration page.  Camping is first come-first served for this event so please register ASAP!  The camping weekend is labeled "WICL HS Camping" and the cost is $36 for the weekend.  

DeForest MTB Minooka Mania Schedule:

Team Pitzone (our team gathering area) for Minooka will be near the starting area of the race along with all of the other teams.

Location Notes:

  • 12:00 - GRiT (Girls Riding Together) members meet at our PitZone and prepare for the GRiT pre-ride.  Riders get race plates, Festival Plate Sticker (if needed), ABCDE bike check, fill water, etc.  GRiT riders head over to the GRiT tent at 12:15 and head onto the course at 12:30.  

  • 2:45 - All riders meet at our PitZone and prepare for the team pre-ride.  Riders get race plates, Festival Plate Sticker (if needed), ABCDE bike check, fill water, etc.

Arrive at the our PitZone at least 30 minutes before your rider's scheduled staging time.  Help your rider prepare for warm-ups by getting their race plate (In the file organizer at the team tent) on, checking for the Festival Plate Sticker, ABCDE bike check, filling water bottles, and getting nutrition if needed.  

Englewood Epic Festival - September 26 to September 28

Riders must be registered for each Festival Weekend they are attending - whether they are racing or just pre-riding the course.  If you purchased a season pass, you are already registered.  If you did not purchase a season pass, use the link at left to register your rider. Registration deadline for riders at Englewood is midnight, Tuesday, September 23rd.

DeForest MTB Englewood Epic Schedule:

Team PitZone (our team gathering area) will be in our team camping area at Englewood Epic

Location Notes:​

  • Parking and camping are in a large cleared field immediately off of (and visible from) the north side of the county road. Volunteers will be present to aid you with directions for parking. (Note: If your map directions take you to what appears to be a private residence  -- you likely just need to go a little further down the county road.)

  • Do not use the gravel road next to the camping area (Even if you may have previously used it during private team practice)

  • Trouble finding our PiZone location?  Look for the DeForest Norskies purple and yellow flags and tent!

  • The course start/finish can be reached by walking northeast from the parking area.

  • This is a working farm that also has a world-class mountain biking course, no pets and no campfires please.

  • 6:00 - Team Pasta Dinner be sure to RSVP using this google form.  Please make sure you only RSVP once for your family.  

 

Sunday:

  • Check the race schedule for your rider's staging time (times may change but the whiteboard in our team PitZone will be up to date at the race). Arrive at the our PitZone at least 30 minutes before your rider's scheduled staging time.  Help your rider prepare for warm-ups by getting their race plate on, checking for the Festival Plate Sticker, ABCDE bike check, filling water bottles, and getting nutrition if needed.  

Hodag Hustle Festival - October 3 to October 5

Riders must be registered for each Festival Weekend they are attending - whether they are racing or just pre-riding the course.  If you purchased a season pass, you are already registered.  If you did not purchase a season pass, use the link at left to register your rider. Registration deadline for riders at Hodag Hustle is midnight, Tuesday, October 30th.

If you'd like to camp at this Festival, please click the link to the left.  You can camp with our team either Friday night, Saturday night, or both!  Camping is in a large field that is designated for our team.  Amenities are limited.  Please be prepared to bring all of your own food and water. There are no showers, however porta-potties are available. Deadline to register for camping at Hodag Hustle is midnight, Wednesday, September 24th.

DeForest MTB Hodag Hustle Schedule:

Team Pitzone (our team gathering area) will not be in our camping area.  Find the Team PitZone along with all of the other Teams near the main starting area.

If your rider(s) would like to participate in this Festival Weekend you will need to register them in the NICA PitZone (see below).  You can also sign up for camping for this weekend!

Riders must be registered for each Festival Weekend they are attending - whether they are racing or just pre-riding the course.  If you purchased a season pass, you are already registered.  If you did not purchase a season pass, use the link at left to register your rider.   Registration deadline for Cable riders is Midnight, Tuesday, August 26th.

If you'd like to camp at this Festival, please click the link to the left.  You can camp with our team either Friday night, Saturday night, and/or Sunday night. Camping is in a large field that is designated for our team.  Amenities are limited.  Please be prepared to bring all of your own food and water.  Fires are permitted at some locations but firewood is not provided.  There are no showers, however porta-potties are available.

Camping Registration Deadline for Cable is August 20th at Midnight.

DeForest MTB Cable Conquest Schedule:

Team Pitzone Location (our team gathering area) for Cable will be in our Team Camping area!

The Cable Conquest Festival is the DeForest Team's "home Festival".  This means our rider's families are expected to make a strong effort to volunteer for the league at this event.  If you are not a coach and will be attending this Festival with your rider, please, please, please click the link below and sign up for at least one volunteer position.  Volunteering is easy and none of these weekends happen without volunteers just like you helping these events to be safe and fun for all of us!
