How to Register
REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026 SEASON IS SLATED TO OPEN IN APRIL
Note: The process will be slightly different in 2026 due to recent Wisconsin NICA changes.
New Rider Registration Form: If your child is *NEW* to the team for 2026, please complete this Google Form. By completing this form, you will allow us to officially invite you to the team. At some point after completing the form you will receive an email from the NICA PitZone to create an account. This will get you on to "Step 1" below. IF YOUR RIDER WAS ON THE TEAM LAST YEAR, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THIS FORM, just go to "Step 1" below.
Step 1: Register your athlete with NICA and pay the new "consolidated" fee. Some portions of the NICA registration can be non-intutive. This is the abbreviated version of what's needed.
-
1a: Click here to go to NICA Pit Zone. If your child rode with the team last year, use your existing login and register them for this season. If your child is new to the team, you will receive an email from the "NICA Pitzone" after you complete the Google Form above. The email you receive will invite you to create an account for your child. Please allow a few days to receive that email after filling out the Google Form.
-
1b: Pay NICA relate fees: Unlike previous years there is now an All-In-One $360 Fee for NICA. This fee is paid in the NICA PitZone when you register your rider and includes access to all pre-rides, festival weekends, adventure rides. For more details on this change see "WI NICA 2026 Registration Update".
Step 2: Register your athlete with the DeForest Mountain Bike Team and pay local team fees.
Before your rider can participate in practices or races you need to register your rider with the DeForest Mountain Bike Team and pay the team fee.
-
2a: Click here to jump down to the team registration form. Fill in the information to register your rider with our team.
-
2b: Pay team fees: The team fee is at the bottom of the registration form, you must enter a number. The team fee this year is $100. 100% of this money stays with our team. This fee covers the cost of coach training (on-the-bike skills, first aid/CPR), equipment that the team needs to function well, food at races and events, and events the team organizes. There are no paid positions within the local team, so these fees cover all of the things the local team needs to provide a safe and fun community for riders.
Step 3: Purchase a team jersey. (Unless you already have one that fits)
-
-
Jersey purchases can be made at a later date after NICA and Team registrations.
-
We will once again use Podiumwear to supply our jerseys. We will update this website and notify riders and families when the Podiumwear Team Shop is available.
-
Riders *do* need a jersey to race on Festival Weekends. If your rider has a jersey that fits from last season they can use it again this season.
-
Scholarships - we want all riders who are interested in joining our team to be able to do so. Financial situations should never hinder athlete participation. You can receive financial support for either or both of the NICA fees or our local team fees ($100).
To request support for the NICA fees, please go here and complete the form.
With our team registration below, you can enter an amount between $25-$150 for our local team fees. Please select an amount that works for your family.
